Beer and Bible: An Ecumenical Social Justice Happy Hour!

Join us Thursday evenings at the Texas Beer Company (corner of Main and 2nd Street) for Beer and Bible: An ecumenical social justice happy hour!

This is a non-traditional gathering and everyone is welcome! To stay focus on our church mission, sometimes it requires that we step outside of our comfort zones and do a new thing by entering into a completely unusual and unlikely setting.

This Thursday, August 30, 2018, 6-7:00 p.m., Engagement Topic: Immigration. We’ll have a special guest speaker from Grassroots Leadership.

Beer and Bible

Join us Thursday evening, August 9, at the Texas Beer Company (corner of Main and 2nd Street) for the kickoff of Beer and Bible: An ecumenical social justice happy hour!

This is a non-traditional gathering and everyone is welcome! To stay focus on our mission, sometimes it requires that we step outside of our comfort zones and do a new thing by entering into a completely unusual and unlikely setting.

Our social justice focus aligns with John Wesley’s way of:
“Do all the good you can,
By all the means you can,
In all the ways you can,
In all the places you can,
At all the times you can,
To all the people you can,
As long as ever you can.”

This is an amazing opportunity for the church and the community to break bread together.

Food and beverage will be served!
